A karyotype is an image of all the chromosomes
What do scientists use karyotypes for?
They use it to see if a person has all the right Chromosomes.
How many pairs of chromosomes do humans have?
23 pairs including one pair of sex chromosomes.
Both males and females have two sex chromosomes.
Using the letters X and Y, describe the sex chromosomes of
Males: Boys have one X and one Y sex chromosome.
Females: Girls have two X sex chromosomes.
What do you think would happen if a person was born missing a chromosome or with too many chromosomes?
It wouldn't matter. They would be the same as me and you.

Everything looks good except the last question. Unfortunately, people who are missing a chromosome or have an extra one usually suffer from some kind of disorder or face developmental problems.
